Spring is finally here
and summer is just around the corner! What a busy winter we have all
had. The alumnae chapter held a
brunch in March at Hanssen’s Le Bakery. Several members met for morning breakfast
and conversation. We welcomed a new alumnae to the area, Pat French. Pat and her husband recently moved to Peoria to be closer to their
family and she is going to be affiliating with us soon. Welcome Pat! In other member news, Betty Jean
Steinbach is well on her way to the road of recovery from her broken
hip. She is currently staying with
family,

|
but hopefully will be
returning to her own home soon.
Congratulations also to Angela Loring and her husband Eric on the
birth of their new baby boy, Kyle.
Everyone is home and doing great!
The Bradley Chapter is getting close to the end of the school year
and we have our Senior Welcome and Danelia Janssen Scholarship performance
scheduled for May 1. In addition, we
will also be discussing our officer elections for next year. See below for all the details. The event is a potluck, so hopefully, we
will get a great turnout with lots of food.
It is not an SAI event unless we eat J At the
brunch in

March, the chapter decided to take a break and wait until fall before
scheduling another recorder/choral performance. All were in agreement that we really
enjoyed the Christmas Botanical Gardens Performance and we definitely want
to do that again. Look for
rehearsals to start in September for that performance.
I hope to see many of you at our Senior Welcome
May 1! The calling committee will be

Our next event is
Saturday, May 1, 11:00 AM, in Dingledine at Bradley’s Campus. Unfortunately, Constance Hall was already
in use, so we will have the pleasure of hearing the Danelia
Janssen scholarship performers in the concert
|
|
|
|
hall. The event is a potluck, so please bring a
dish to share. Table service and
lemonade will be provided. Remember,
that the Bradley Seniors will be joining us, so be sure to bring extra. Activities that day include a formal
meeting, election of
|
|
|
officers
for 2004-2005 and scholarship performances.
We may also work in an affiliation.
